The Task:
Photography: Jen Bierman of Photojenic www.photographybyjen.com Wedding Jeannie's final wedding of 2008, ended on a high note. Cyndi and Pablo already had everything it takes for a successful marriage. They had been together since high school and have a son. Already a happy family, they simply wanted to make it legal. Three important themes had to be meshed together to create Cyndi and Pablos dream wedding. It had to be eco-conscious, incorporate Dodger Baseball, and reflect their love of Los Angeles. By choosing the entirely "green", Marvimon, in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, we scored a home run. Marvimon's drought resistant plantings, and cactus blossoms were my inspiration for the design. The couple's love of baseball inspired baseball bats instead of a sign-in book. The couple found a company that custom engraved Louisville Sluggers. A score book was added for more signing room. For escort cards I hung cards on peg board. My creativity was allowed to thrive thanks to the faith and trust this couple put in me. We made this urban oasis glow with florals, candles and linens that complimented the venue. For food and beverage, the couple chose their favorite Cuban dishes, and mojitos, as their specialty cocktail. Dessert was a stunning fondant wedding cake, tropical fruit with warm cajeta and a gourmet coffee station, complete with syrups, fresh made whipping cream, cinnamon and every yummy condiment you can imagine. Our amazing photographer snuck the couple away at dusk to take a photo of them with the city they love in the distance. Thank you Cyndi, Pablo and Emilio, for allowing me to create a day that reflected your style and love. Whenever I hear "Take Me Out To The Ballgame", I will think of The Articas and their beautiful wedding day.
