The Task:
FEATURED ON http://weddingpodcastnetwork.com Photography: Craig Rucker www.craigrucker.com Catherine is lovingly known as my "Boston Bride". She grew up at her parent's home in Thousand Oaks, and went off to college in Boston. There she met her soul mate Salil. When Salil popped the question, she knew she wanted to marry at home. I met Catherine and her parents in Thousand Oaks at their beautiful and welcoming home. They interviewed four other coordinators. Being the "Home Wedding Expert" that I am, we landed this wedding right away. They trusted me to bring in all of my vendors. Our most trusted colleagues worked on this job. I was able to assemble an amazing team, including my favorite caterer, rental company and photographer. Catherine and I planned her wedding together while she was in Boston. Each time she came to town we had marathon design meetings, vendor appointments and cupcake tastings. It was a thrilling six month whirlwind, and I loved every minute of it. The highlights of this wedding embodied Catherine and Salil's relaxed lifestyle. Her tea-length gown and sandals were reflective of her personality. The leather benches we used for the ceremony and lounges were modern and original. Using crisp white and green mixed with river rocks and natural wood touches brought elegance to the outdoors. Guests dined on Indian Cuisine with a Meditteranean twist. Guest's were delighted with the photo booth and the cupcake display. The couple even dragged the Wedding Jeannie team into the booth with them. What great fun! This wedding was everything Catherine and Salil wanted. It was modern, relaxed and sophisticated. Mixing their cultures and family traditions made this exactly what a home wedding should be.
