Adriana & Kids

Our beautiful March bride Adriana is featured in this beautiful picture. Taken right after her ceremony at Wayfarer’s Chapel. She’s full of joy! We love being part of celebrations of love and joy. Her one of a kind, couture gown was made by Alina Pizanno. Adriana was a unique bride who chose to have a blush pink gown! So much about this picture to love. Happy to share it with you. Enjoy.

shutterbug-magazine.jpg

Our fabulous couple Jayann and Perry were featured on the cover of Shutterbug Magazine. It was all thanks to the fabulous photography of Cherie Steinberg and Hedley Jones of CherieFoto. Last June, Cherie and Hedley captured our client’s wedding day beautifully. Little did we know then that Cherie’s artistry would be featured twice. The beauty of her images landed this wedding on the pages of Your Wedding Day Magazine, and now this. How amazing for Jayann and Perry. And….for WEDDING JEANNIE. Because of Cherie, our work is being seen by so many.

Congratulations go to CherieFoto for not only the cover, but their feature article in the magazine titled “The Art and Craft of Wedding Photography”. Cherie is a master in her field, and we couldn’t imagine anyone else speaking about the importance of getting it right.

workshop-handouts2.jpg

Sharing the love from one our attendees at the latest workshop. Here is what she had to say. Wow - a true testament as to why we need to keep doing what we’re doing. Thanks Dani, we enjoyed having you there.

“Thank you for hosting such a GREAT and useful workshop!  It was a wonderful experience for me.  I found it to be warm and welcoming but more importantly full of useful and practical information.  I am still blown away by the fact that you, Veronica, Mary and Alina share yourselves, your wisdom and knowledge so freely.  I for one  am truly grateful for your generosity and kindness.  So many times Brides are bombarded with information in a high pressure environment; that is not the case at all with the Couture Bridal Workshop.  I felt as though I was sitting, chatting and enjoying an evening with close friends.  I walked away armed with the knowledge and confidence.  I can never thank you enough!

And although I was unsure of the possibility of my being able to collaborate with a Wedding Planner, I know now that you and Veronica are who I wish to entrust this day to.  I am confident that all of the dreams that I have envisioned will come true.

Please know that you were successful, you are so very in tune with what today’s Brides are in need of.  Well-informed, personalized planning that encourages our individuality to shine through.  I am so excited now! More so than before!

As promised, I have visited the blogs you’ve recommended and I will begin following you are Twitter.  We can learn how to Tweet together. Giggle!  I am looking forward to speaking with you personally, when your schedule permits a few moments.

Please give Veronica my very best along with a hug.

Have a wonderful and most enjoyable day!

Your Wedding Day Features Wedding Jeannie

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Your Wedding Day Magazine is one of my favorite Bridal Magazines. From the first time I held this publication in my hands and saw the beauty in it’s pages, I was smitten. The magazine only recognizes the finest of wedding professionals.

Weddings are my passion. Over the years I’ve come to love helping couples make their wedding wishes come true at private venues. Your Wedding Day recognized my hard work and asked for my expertise. In their latest issue, they feature an article entitled “Planning An Estate Wedding”. I was chosen to give my experience, knowledge and advice to their readers like yourself.

Many couples love the idea of being wed in a private estate, museum, gallery, historic hotel or castle. Most think it’s unatainable. I hope reading this article will inform you and show you that it is possible for you. There are complexities involved. An experienced wedding coordinator can show you how to tackle the hurdles involved in this task. We can show you how to maximize your budget to make this wish come true.

I’ve been fortunate to work at many private venues such as The Museum of Latin American Art, The Kellogg House, Castle Green, The Oviatt Penthouse, Churon Winery, The Ebell Club of Long Beach and Ebell Club of Los Angeles and many more. Each venue has it’s own unique set of challenges. That is why the magazine chose Wedding Jeannie to advise and educate their readers. If you are dreaming of private venue for your day, don’t hesitate to call me. Together we can make this dream a reality. If you wish to read the entire article, please go to my press page. I hope you enjoy it and would love to hear your comments.

Nine Questions

Thursday, February 12th, 2009

A colleague of mine, Emilie Duncan of Emilie Duncan Event Planning in Ohio brought up an interesting question. What do potential brides like yourself think about our websites? What are you looking for? What do you love? What do you hate about our websites?

Emilie created a quick little survey for you to take that could make our websites better for you and us. I’m a member of Coordinators Corner. This is how I know Emily. We are a group of wedding coordinators throughout the country. As a group, we learn from each other and work hard to bring the highest ethics and professionalism to our industry. We are all posting this survey to our blogs. Our hope is that we will learn from YOU. After all, it’s YOU who we are providing a service to. Help us to make it the best by taking this quick 9 question survey.

Posted from Emilie Duncan’s Blog:

I promise, this will only take a minute of your time!  If you wouldn’t mind, please click on the link below and answer 9 quick, easy questions about different design aspects of wedding vendor’s websites.

Wedding Vendor Website Survey

We won’t record anything about you other than what state or country you are from - we don’t even ask for your email address so no spam or anything like that.

You will likely see this link on lots of other blogs and sites - this survey is being shared all over the blog-o-sphere so please take the survey only once.

If you have additional comments on the subject, please feel free to email me with those and I will share them with the other wedding vendors who are participating!  We can’t wait to hear what you have to say!

(If you are a wedding vendor and would like to participate, just copy this post to your blog and email the link to emilie {@} emilieduncan {.} com - I will send you the results once we have closed the survey in March)

Assn of Bridal Consultants Annual Conference

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

Colin CowieFrom Sunday, November 9th, to Tuesday November 11th, Wedding Jeannie will be attending the Assn of Bridal Consultants Annual Conference. It’s being held in Newport Beach this year at The Fairmont Hotel. One of my favorite wedding and lifestyle designers Colin Cowe (pictured) will be a featured presenter. He will dazzle us with a design feature.

Throughout the three days I will have the opportunity to expand my knowledge of the wedding industry, through seminars, classes and presentations. In addition to Mr. Cowie, speakers include Barbara Wallace and Mary Dann. Featured companies at the Trade Show will be The Bride and Bloom Magazine, Sandals Resorts & Honeymoons, WedPro Software and many more.

I’m looking forward to networking with many of my colleagues throughout the country. How fabulous that wedding planners from every state as well as Japan and Mexico will be in attendance.

The icing on the cake is that I am on the conference planning committee. In partnership with Michelle Tortuya of Charming Events, we have planned the Tuesday night networking event. It’s been named the “OC Seaside Soiree”. I was able to secure the Ocean Institute for this casual party. My favorite caterer Sofia Riley of TGIS Catering is providing a delicious array of food stations to impress wedding planners who have seen and tasted it all! I had so much fun planning the menu with Sofia. Our customized specialty drinks will match our theme and colors. Can’t wait to try our very own Tangerine Mojito, California-tini and Midori Champagne Cocktail.

My very good friend Fayth of Three Petals will showcase her amazing floral designs and our tables will be adorned by sulty linens from Wildflower Linens! If you’ve been browsing wedding magazines for inspiration, you know that Wildflower stands out above alll linen providers. There are so many other amazing details included in this event, but this post would go on forever if I talk about everything.

When I return, I’ll post pictures that will be provided by the talented Natalie Moser, along with details and descriptions.

Have a great weekend. I know I will come back with great new ideas and knowledge to bring to my future clients.
